The Midea V8 Medium Static Pressure Duct eliminates this issue through a self-adapting digital fan motor: an onboard drive chip continuously measures external static pressure between 10 and 160 Pa and automatically adjusts motor output to match—eliminating DIP switches, manometer readings, and commissioning guesswork. Installers simply connect the ductwork, power up, and the unit handles the rest.
With a 299 mm body thickness, the chassis fits easily into standard plenum depths. Three installation orientations accommodate diverse ceiling layouts and duct routing patterns without requiring specialized models. For projects demanding superior air quality—healthcare clinics, laboratories, cleanrooms—the optional medical-grade HEPA filter module captures 99%+ of particles at 0.5 microns, transforming a comfort-cooling unit into a comprehensive air-treatment platform.
Operating within the V8 heat pump VRF architecture, this duct system provides both cooling and heating via reverse-cycle operation for year-round climate control.
